East side /Tanque Verde/Sabino Canyon

We proudly serve Tanque Verde, a suburban unincorporated community in Pima County just northeast of Tucson. Set in a scenic valley framed by the Santa Catalina Mountains to the north and the Rincon Mountains to the east, this roughly 32-square-mile census-designated place sits at about 2,671 feet in elevation and is home to approximately 16,250 residents. The area traces its roots to ranching families who settled the valley in the 1860s, and its Spanish name (meaning "green tank") recalls an old algae-covered stock watering tank that once marked the landscape. Today Tanque Verde is known for its large residential lots, strong land-use covenants that have preserved its open, semi-rural character, and an active equestrian community. It's a well-established, largely owner-occupied area with about 6,600 households and a median age near 57, and families here are served by the highly regarded Tanque Verde Unified School District as well as Tucson Unified, with Tanque Verde High School and Sabino High School serving local students.
